It was a very warm and professional experience from the check in to PA Rose, Dr Karas & Vanessa ( scheduler) . Dr Karas was very attentive & direct which I greatly appreciated. He was also very friendly and reassuring. I was given a booklet with extremely helpful information regarding preop exercises, vitamins etc and post op expectations. All to aid in a fast and healthy recovery. Also received emails regarding a mandatory preop class and an online video to explain in detail the procedure and what I as a patient need to do. Again, very helpful along with the supplements described for purchase to help in maintaining muscle & a supplement instead of fasting. This was my 1st visit, I need double hip replacements, I feel very confident with Dr Karas and his Team. My only issue is that I waited 6 months for this appointment and now I have to wait 6 months for the 1st surgery. He has such amazing patient reviews so I will wait & figure out how to manage this intense pain for another 6 months.

I recently (4 weeks today) underwent a total knee replacement with Dr. Karas and I couldn't be more grateful for the exceptional care I received from him and his staff. From the very first appointment, they took the time to explain the process and answer all of my questions. They had a program in place with an online class, and motivational texts that calmed all of my anxiety leading up to my surgery. Thanks to his expertise and his knowledgeable staff, my surgery was a success. Every interaction from the team, medical assistants, and physical therapy was kind and showed genuine concern for my well-being. My recovery has been going extremely well, and I credit not only Dr. Karas's surgical skills but also the follow-up attentive care since the surgery. Thank you for the daily texts keeping me on track and the physical therapy through Midwest Orthopedics at Rush. We all heal differently, at a different pace, but I know that I am on a positive road to recovery. Thank you!*

Dr. Karas is amazing. He is an extremely skilled surgeon and also extremely personable and responsive. Dr Karas and his team are the best. Clear communication is key with them. You get daily msgs that really help to know what you should be experiencing and how best to address any concerns. Just had my 2nd knee replacement with Dr Kars and highly recommend him!*
