Dr. Kara’s is a great listener, and you never feel rushed. I drive 3 hours to see him, and I feel so lucky to be his patient. Two of my sisters are now patients of his. It’s obvious that my family thinks he is pretty special.*

Dr Karas is a very charismatic Doctor. He makes one feel as if they are part of a team. I loved all of the information that was sent to me pre-op letting me know all of the stages of my recovery process. The daily texts are wonderful! Please keep up with this! The daily texts made me feel as if I was part of a family! Vanessa is wonderful making sure that you have all of the brochures, videos, etc. so you can increase your knowledge about the surgery that you are going to go through. I loved the facility that I had my surgery performed in Lincoln Park. I would give five stars, but the only reason that I only gave four stars is based on the following: when I was discharged from the facility, no one really explained any of the paperwork that was given to me, the paperwork just was given to us. I think it would be very beneficial if someone there went over the discharge paperwork with us so there would not be any questions. Also, I felt that the Hotline number that was given to me in the discharge papers was not very helpful. When I called, it seemed like that no one really wanted to listen to what I had to say. When it is time for me to have my other knee surgery done, I will definitely use Dr Karas again!*

Both my daughter and husband had both knee replacements done by Dr. Karas and the results and care were excellent. My daughter came in from Mississippi to have him do her hip with fantastic results. I just made an appointment to have my right knee replacement done in September so that should say it all.

Patients in waiting room conducting personal phone calls that we all have to hear. Listening to a soap opera that we all have to hear. Over an hour wait. All staff courteous, good visit with PA. Surgeon didn't spend much time with me and didn't explain the actual surgery and procedure in any detail. Brochure on pre-surgery and post-surgery recovery consumer friendly with loads of detailed information.*

Dr Karas is awesome. I had knee replacement surgery at the Lincoln Park facility at 8:30am and literally was walking through my front door at 5 minutes past noon. And yes, I was walking. I highly recommend Dr. Karas for his kindness, easy to talk to, answers all your questions and listens to your concerns and needs. Two days post operative I immediately knew already my surgery was a huge success!*

Dr. Karas sends daily text messages to guide the patient from pre-surgery to post surgery, including information to assist the patient through physical therapy to ensure a successful recovery.
Dr. Karas and his support staff assist the patient and concerns that the patient may have. You never are alone throughout the entire process.
Dr. Karas' surgical experience in joint replacement makes for a rapid recovery and a smooth transition to daily life. I am so grateful to have found Dr. Karas, who treats his patient, with respect and compassion.
