I had total knee replacement by a local doctor in 2020. About 8 to 12 months after surgery I started having loss of motion & extreme muscle pain around the knee. After just over 2 years of this loss of motion & pain, I went back to see the original doctor that had performed the surgery. They did more P/T, a CT scan, Bone Density & a 2nd opinion, result was the best we can do is a 50/50 chance to make it better.
At this time I went to see Dr. Karas twice to have him evaluate my condition. He gave me his opinion of what could be done to help me. He said 70% chance to improve, 20% chance to stay the same & 10% chance it could be worse. With those odds we said YES!
Well I had my surgery on May 1st, came home on May 3rd. Was walking with only a cane & able to go up & down stairs with no problem. Just went to my 3 week evaluation on May 22nd. I have no pain & have increased my range of motion farther than the old knee was for over 2 years.
I think Dr. Vasili Karas underrated his skills!!!! I am so happy that I made that phone call! The first doctors only talked about quality of life, well my quality of life went down after their surgery. Dr. Karas never mentioned quality of life, He just told me what he could do for ME! By my opinion it should have been 100% better & 0% the same.
I am not a big fan of doctors, there have only been a few that I actually respect! One is my Cardiologist who saved my life when I had a heart attack. Now the other is Dr. Vasili Karas who took away 2 years of pain, made it possible to walk like normal again and brought back my QUALITY of LIFE! *
