Dr. Karas and his staff have provide excellent Medical and personal service since day one of my double partial knee replacements. His practice is run like a Swiss watch with all of the needed services for my surgery and recovery. At our final visit last Monday i thanked him and his staff for giving me my life back. Special shout out to Sarah for all of the time and answers to my questions.*

Very disappointed with my first visit. Dr provided no insight into my issue, but said I did not meet the ratio of height/weight to
have knee surgery. He did not mention how much weight I would have to lose to qualify. He did not seem interested in helping me at all.*

Hi I meet Dr Karras and Ast Sara both extremely professional and friendly with great care given they both took time to go over my knee injury and I felt very comfortable with both they took time to hear my history of injury and also getting to know me as a person I was a comfortable meeting and I felt better about what needs to be done for my well being

Saw Dr. Karas for the first time yesterday. He was very thorough in explaining everything about my future hip reconstruction surgery. Explained all the complications and possible outcomes of this surgery. Was grateful for his being upfront about everything. *

I've had my 2 knees done about 4 1/2 months apart. I specifically chose Dr. Karas because he practices the less invasive method of total knee replacement surgery. The entire staff was very professional and friendly and patient centric. After each surgery I was amazed at how quickly I was able to recover. In both cases I was able to walk normally and go up and down stairs without difficulty in 3-4 weeks. Therapy continues for a few more sessions, but I feel within a couple of weeks I will be back riding my bike and doing all the outdoor things I love. Thank Dr. Karas and associates!*

Was referred to Dr. Karas by Dr. Chahla both at Midwest Orthopedics at Rush. Dr. Karas reviewed my x-rays and MRI of my left hip. He was very informative and explained options to me clearly and in detail. He advised me to get PT to improve my Left Hip pain. Recommended to see how that goes and hold off on a hip replacement for now. I appreciated his advise. I highly recommend Dr Karas, he was very honest and looking out for my best care options. *

I could not be happier that I chose Dr. Karas for my total knee replacement surgery.

Mine was a first, initial consult meeting with Dr Karas. It is a major process, involving layers of info gathering, including xrays. I was grateful for the time & thorough approach. But do keep your schedule clear after your appointment time because it is a lengthy process to the end. But that's a good thing when looking into a knee replacement, you don't want to feel rushed, like so many appointments trying to fit everyone into 15-20 min slots. I'm glad to wait because it means that everyone gets enough time with the doctor, when it's your turn as well, & it is a Super busy place. It was a very impressive experience.*
