I was very pleased but I wish I could have gotten my knee surgery scheduled sooner.

I traveled from Washington State to Chicago to have Dr. Karas replace my left knee in 2020 and again in April 2023 to have him replace the right knee. He is an amazing surgeon and super nice person to boot! My physical therapist back home in Washington can't believe how well I'm doing after this right knee replacement. She confirmed that there's no way I would be this far into my recovery if I had the surgery here where I live. Dr. Karas's knee replacement procedure is outstanding if you want a quicker recovery. I was able to hike (a flat hike) 5 miles just 5 weeks after this latest knee replacement. He totally rocks!!*

Everything went smoothly. A hugh. amount of information answered many of the questions i had before the operation. The info made me comfortable ahead of operation day. I knew what to expect from Dr. Karas and the Rush staff. More importantly i knew what was expected of me, the patient. *

Dr. Karas team and staff have stayed with me since Jan. 4, 23 when I was given my surgical packet. The staff provided me with Karas’ Pre-Operative teaching. This helped me visualize my procedure to come. I was always able to call surgical team regarding any questions. Since my surgery 04/04/23. The in home therapy with Bryce and the daily text helped me physically, emotionally and spiritually with my recovery. I loved the teaching process about the whole process.
