Exceptional Care from Start to Finish
At 50, I am relatively young to have undergone two total hip replacements. Looking back on my experience, I could not be more grateful for the exceptional care I received from Dr. Karas and his entire team.
From beginning to end, their commitment to excellence was evident in every detail. The bedside manner, genuine compassion, willingness to listen, and time spent answering every question made me feel informed, comfortable, and confident throughout the process.
What truly sets this team apart is how thoughtfully they have considered every aspect of the patient experience. From scheduling and medication management to informative videos, written resources, and clear instructions, nothing felt overlooked. Every person I encountered, from the X-ray technicians and hospital staff to the physical therapists who guided my recovery over the following three months, demonstrated the same remarkable standard of care.
It is rare to encounter an entire team so consistently dedicated to excellence, but Dr. Karas and his colleagues have achieved exactly that.
Now, a year and half later, I have two new hips and genuinely feel as though I’ve turned back the clock ten years. My mobility, quality of life, and confidence have been restored, and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome.

I had a revision of a partial knee to a total knee at the end of Sept. I am already walking without a crutch and have full range of motion. This is my 12th knee surgery and Dr Karas is my favorite doctor from all my surgeries. He is so kind and I have never met a doctor that is so thorough. The whole staff is so nice at Midwest Orthopedics. If you have questions, you can call them at anytime and get answers right away. I am so impressed with this office. You are in great hands with Dr Karas and his amazing team.*

Dr Karas is very knowledgeable and patient focused when caring for his patients. He maintains contact with his surgery patients thru informative & encouraging texts or by phone if needed. Dr. Karas and his staff have the process of preparing and taking care after a total knee replacement down to a science. I was well informed before, during and after my surgery. Doctor Karas and Madison take time with you to listen to your questions and answer them and explain things. They are very professional and personable. The entire staff is kind and helpful . A number of people from my area, two hours away, have had him as their physician. I would definitely recommend him for his surgical ability.*

Doctor Karas and Madison listen to your questions and answer them to your understanding. Very professional. They spend time with you, not rushing through your appointment. The entire staff is friendly and courteous. There are a number of patients from my area, 2 hours away, that are all satisfied and share the same opinion. I would highly recommend them.*

The Doctor showed me much concern about me issue. The Doctor could see that I was a person that was going through lots of pain. The most of all the Doctor saw that I was having pain not only in my knees but another part of my body and showed compassion and concern and inquired why I was crying and what was causing me pain in my Arm. He sent for that specialist to come see what was happening to me..*

I’m about to have a 2nd Hip Replacement within a year. This team is so fabulous. Each person, from Deaana Massarani,PA to Alexis James RN and everyone else who will quickly respond with care and concern regarding any questions.. no matter how many you may ask.
Be sure to sign up for the post op text service. It’s amazing, it will often address issues you were thinking to contact the office about. Very very comforting!

I can’t say enough great things about Dr Karas very considerate and kind awesome bed side manners as well!! Had my first TRKR August 24th, my pain has been very minimal hardly use a cane only when around a crowd so nobody bumps into me, never a brace and I’m so looking forward to having my TLKR Oct 13th!!
So if your on the fence where to go Dr Karas is your Dr, he’s the BEST!!!!*
